I Love You To The Moon & Back.

Good afternoon everyone!

Happy Saturday to you all.

Today I am showing you a card I made back in February of this year.

It was created as part of my DT duties for All Dressed Up Stamps, and has never been blogged because it was to be published by Practical Publishing in their Complete Cardmaking Using Your PC magazine.

Sadly they ended publication of that magazine on the issue before our cards were to be in print.

This month, however, if you visit Simply Cards & Papercraft online, you will be able to download your FREE digital stamps and papers from our All Dressed Up Wedding Theme! Now how cool is that?!

To create my card I used my Copics in these shades:-

Suit:- 100. C9. C7. C5.  B37. B05. B02

Dress & Veil:- T6. T4. T2. T0.

Moon:- C4. C2. C0.

Flowers:- B37. B05. B02.  YG99. YG97. YG03.

The background I created with my blue chalks.

The topper is my Heart Doily Die by Whimsy Stamps.

This is the back view of the card, and the papers are all from All Dressed Up Stamps too.

This is the inside of the card. Again I used my heart doily die and All Dressed Up papers.

My flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

If you would like to create this card for yourself. Here is a list of materials you will need, and a tutorial on how to put it all together.

(If you do make it, I would truly love to see it once it’s done! And please be kind enough to link back here to my blog too.

Thank you.)

Materials Used Are:-

– “Over The Moon” Image and “Heart” Paper from Free Cd.

– Whimsy Stamps Double Scallop Heart Doily Die.

– 5 A4 Sheets of White Hammer Card.  (I used hammer card for it’s texture.)

You will need one sheet for the two hearts and four sheets to complete your card base.

– 3 A4 Sheets of Contrasting Card. (I chose black for my card.)

– Copics or other colouring medium.

– Chalk for background or preferred medium.

– 3D Collal Glue.

– Photo Glue or Double Sided Sticky Tape.

– Scissors.

– Flowers. (Mine are from Wild Orchid Crafts.)

To Create:-

1 – Cut two hearts out using one A4 sheet of white hammer card, and your heart doily die.

2 – Set one heart aside for now, and, using your chalk (or preferred medium) shade in the centre of the heart.

3 – Colour your image and fussy cut around it.  Curve it very slightly (for added definition) and then stick to your heart using your 3D Collal Glue.

4 – Cut four pieces of white hammer card to measure 6 inch square.  Take two of these pieces and make a score down the very centre at 3 inches.  Burnish and fold.

5 – Adhere these two folded pieces to one of your remaining 6 inch square pieces.

6 – Now adhere your last remaining piece of 6 inch square card so that it covers the seam, where your two folded pieces meet.

7 – Take your contrast card and cut it to measure like so;

Two pieces at 5 3/4 inches square.

     Two pieces at 5 3/4 inches x 2 3/4 inches.

8 – Take your printed heart paper and cut it to measure like so;

Two pieces at 5 1/2 inches square.

     Two pieces at 5 1/2 inches x 2 1/2 inches.

9 – Mat and layer the contrast card and printed paper onto your card base.

10 – Take the heart you set aside, and adhere this to the inside of your card.

11 – Take your heart topper (with the image on) and adhere this to the LEFT front panel of your card.  Take care to align the centre of your heart to the middle edge of your card front.

12 – Add your flowers (and any other embellishments you wish to use.)

Voila!  Your beautiful Wedding Celebration card is complete!
